At a young age I was often out and about taking photographs capturing memories to produce prints to look back on and I have spent all my life around animals, either working with or, because of the many pets I have owned and loved.
It was when I started photographing puppy parties for the veterinary centre that I worked in that my passions truly combined and Dee Macie Photography was born and in 2014 I opened my studio.
I understand that pets are a very important part of the family and that they all have such different personalities which I enjoy capturing for their owners to have moments to cherish.
I have a lot of patience and I have worked with many shy and bouncy dogs in my time and if your dog isn't good with commands or is better kept on a lead then that is absolutely fine. If you are worried then please contact me and I am happy to arrange a free consultation appointment to meet you and your dog before booking a shoot.
I have lots of toys and treats at the studio and most dogs like make themselves comfortable on my sofas after the session or during viewing sessions.
I am a member of the Guild of Photographers and have won awards for my pet photography with them. I was the official photographer for the Supreme Cat Show at the NEC for 2015-16 and have had my work published in newspapers and magazines. I have also done commercial work for pet companies such as Aquamat and Ditsy Pet Ltd.
For examples of my work please have a look at my Portfolio.
